Might one inquire into your thoughts on stargazing? You said once you can appreciate looking at the stars, but you didn't know the earth went around the sun. What did you think they were? What was your thoughts on stars as a kid too?

Stargazing is a hobby that is almost viewed in a sense of enlightenment, in that it is a mentally soothing activity that separates ones mind from ones thoughts that are, at times, noisy and problematic. I used to use stargazing as a method of mental rehabilitation as a child because I often overwhelmed the size of my undeveloped brain with overly developed thoughts.

I knew that stars were strange sources of light, not of this atmosphere or planet, but I was not completely sure. I tried researching them, but Mummy didn’t like the idea of spoiling my childhood imagination. Needless to say, that imagination fueled an interest in space for a little while, before I realized the uselessness of such information.

I knew that this would be the next question. Personally, I’ve just come to terms with the fact that Moriarty is just as much human as he is spider. He is not any more godly than I may claim to be, as well.

If I can metaphorically refer to him as a “peacock”, perhaps you’d get a better sense of the mental image.

And after our encounter, Reichenbach Falls, he has been largely out of the game. That is not to discredit his potential threat, but he has certainly waned out a great deal.

I'm not sure this relavent but have you noticed the color difference between you and Watsons blog? Yours is rather dark and i switch to his and it's so white it blinds me! I think this suits your personalitys well, no offence.

I think it’s indirectly sexist and unnecessary. I was previously countered with the fact that apparently there is a term called “womance”, but in all honesty, it has not gained the same light as “bromance”.

To simply call a relationship “platonic” would suffice.

What were some of your mother's methods of punishment? I have this idea where she told you what you did was wrong and then patted your head and said to run along. Or were the punishments a bit more extensive?

The punishments were not extensive at all. My mother was extremely nurturing towards me, largely because I was the favourite. For a more interesting response, you may want to ask Mycroft the same question.

The most common form of her punishment for me was a little pinch of the cheek and a forced confession of my crimes.

How difficult would it be for someone to teach themselves to play the violin? I would love to learn, but I can't afford lessons.

It would be difficult in the sense that you wouldn’t know whether or not you’re doing something correctly or incorrectly. I suggest finding a friend to watch your self-practise and compare it to that of a video or professional violinist. Or use a mirror and be very methodical and exact in your practises.

Or simply find a cheap instructor.

Here are two you might enjoy:

One of our DIs was leaving work early to attend his mother’s funeral. We all gave him our condolences. Anderson came around late to view the commotion, and as a final, harried word, he stated with his reassuring smile, “Have a blast.” He maintains that his brain fell out on him.

Anderson and a few other investigators of the Yard went to the gym yesterday to go lift weights and work out. Anderson claimed to have really done a lot of intensive exercise, but in any case, when they were all in the showers, Anderson must’ve fallen asleep. Upon instinct, the other investigators called an ambulance, and Anderson awoke, naked, surrounded by at least ten people.

I see no point in trying to prove otherwise to your hubris. And I hardly see the point in both of us stripping completely to try to prove a point either, as a bit of a jab to Irene.

Of course, success and failure are not absolute opposites. They are on a spectrum, and while your failures have not been completely prominent, there have been blunders and mistakes, which led to your vulnerability atop Bart’s.

Mycroft never bodes well with my possible schemes. He strictly attached me to the hip, and even now, I am in the midst of the process of removing the imaginary glue from my body.

I have invented reasons to leave Christmas gatherings early and whatnot, but the Diogenes Club has a knack for the restrictive.
